Lead UPK Preschool Teacher – Watertown, NY

Full Time Salary position at Ohio Street School UPK Classroom, including Summer School for 6 weeks in an inclusion setting. Team teaching model with special education inclusion & typically developing UPK peers. Class times are 8am-1pm; this full-time role is from 7:30-3:30 M-F to facilitate collaboration with the special education teacher. The classroom is staffed with 3 TAs and 2 full-time teachers.

About the Lead Teacher Role - Watertown, NY

We are seeking a Lead Teacher to join our preschool team. You will collaborate with a team of certified professionals to support children in our inclusive classrooms.

• Provide exceptional care and instruction
  • Support preschool children, ages 3-5, in our inclusive classrooms alongside a Special Education Teacher and certified TAs.
  • Teach developmentally appropriate academic and social skills to prepare children for kindergarten through various instructional methods.
• Classroom Environment
  • Create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment encouraging curiosity and excitement for learning.
  • Implement effective classroom management and set routines and expectations.
• Planning and Data Analysis
  • Develop goals and instructional materials.
  • Coordinate curriculum implementation with the preschool team.
  • Communicate with team members, administrators, and parents regarding children’s development and behavior.
