Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking a Universal Pre-K Field Teacher to support classrooms across multiple centers. You will create a safe, nurturing learning environment for 4- and 5-year-olds and help them gain skills for kindergarten and beyond.

Responsibilities include implementing developmentally appropriate curricula, maintaining open parent communication, and ensuring safety and cleanliness in the classroom. The role requires background checks and meets state education requirements.

Qualifications

• Must pass state and company background checks.
• 18 years of age or older with a HS diploma or GED.
• At least 90 credits toward a Bachelor's degree in early childhood education.
• Bachelor’s degree in early education or related field required.
• NYS Teaching Certification (or study plan eligibility) preferred.
• 1 year of professional teaching experience in child care, daycare, or preschool preferred.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for 4- and 5-year-olds required.

Responsibilities

• Implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child’s daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
