Job summary

Hickory Chair, LLC is seeking a dedicated upholstery sewing operator to run sewing machines, align fabric, and create cushions for our furniture lines.

You will perform top stitch, saddle stitch, and welt stitching, adjust machines for various fabrics, follow detailed specs, and maintain a tidy work area.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (preferred) and prior sewing experience is a plus; ability to work in a noisy environment and as part of a production team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous sewing experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow sewing specs.

Responsibilities

• Operate sewing machines to assemble cushions and upholstery parts.
• Sew with top stitch, saddle stitch and welt stitching as required.
• Adjust machines for different fabrics and thread types.
• Read and follow production specs and notes.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to safety policies.
• Work as part of a team to meet production goals.
