Qualifications

Must be able to read ticket and job notes for directions.
Must be knowledgeable in sewing methods and be able to complete job quality specifications.
English is required to understand tickets and directions.

Responsibilities

Remove cover from bins and prepare fabric for sewing.
Inspect fabric/material for flaws.
Select thread according to colors.
Join pieces using sewing machine according to notes.
Align pieces with seams and markings.
Check for puckering and bad seams.
Scan ticket to confirm completion.
Place completed cover in assigned buggy.
Maintain neat and orderly workstation.
Wear safety glasses and work safely.
Learn basic furniture sewing; willingness to learn; CVCC Furniture Academy exposure.
Excellent attendance and good work history.
