Job summary

Shenandoah Furniture in Valdese, NC is seeking an Upholstery Inspector to join our manufacturing team. You will carefully inspect and clean upholstered pieces, verify leg finishes, and apply proper labels to ensure every item meets customer standards.

Responsibilities

• Scan finished goods into the system when complete.
• Use PPE including safety glasses.
• Maintain clean, safe work area to prevent slips and falls.

The Position:

We are looking for a dependable individual with a great attention to detail to join our team as an Upholstery Inspector in our Valdese, NC location. This individual will:

• Clean each piece.
• Clean each cushion, trimming any necessary loose threads.
• Verify leg finish against production ticket.
• Apply proper deck labels according to customer requirements.
• Inspect for correct tailoring of each piece.
• Verify symmetry and accurate style specifications.
• Scan into finished goods when complete.
• Use proper PPE — safety glasses.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices to prevent slips, trips and falls.

Candidates that will be a great fit will:

• Able to perform repetitive tasks such as bend, lift, twist, kneel and reach for extended periods of time.
• Able to stand and walk for 100% of shift.
• Must be able to rotate up to 50 pounds of weight at ground level up to 60 times per day.
• Must have good attention to detail.
