Overview

This requisition is contingent upon L3Harris winning the Aircraft Maintenance and Modification Services in Support of Presidential Helicopter contract.

The anticipated date of Contract Award is 2025 with an anticipated start date of Fall/Winter 2025.

The location for the performance of this program is Patuxent River, MD. Employee must be located on site.

Essential Functions:

• Repairs and rebuilds upholstered aircraft furnishings using hand tools and knowledge of fabricsand upholstery methods.
• Support includes removing coverings, webbing and padding from seats, arms, backsand sides of workpiece using a tack puller, chisel and mallet.
• Removes defective springs by cutting cords orwires that hold springs in place, replaces webbing and springs, or reties springs as necessary.
• Measures andcuts new covering material, installs material on inside of arms, backs, seats, and over outside backs and arms.
• Tacks or sews ornamental trim, such as braid and buttons, to cover and frame.
• Operates sewing machine toseam cushions and join various sections of covering materials.
• Repairs wooden frame of workpiece.
• Repairsseats from various types of aircraft.
• Repairs a variety of items requiring special shaping, cushioning andcovering including aircraft insulation and soundproofing panels.
• Repairs special devices, assemblies andother items such as carpets and other fabrics.

Required Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• Demonstrated experience performing tasks listed in essential functions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of publications, drawings, blueprints, microfilm, diagrams and schematics are mandatory, military applications preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of upholstery, sewing processes and products.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain Top Secret clearance in accordance with the NISPOM codifying 32 Code of Federal Regulation Part 117, NISPOM Rule.
• Must be able to satisfy personnel security requirements for Yankee White access in accordance with the DoD Directive 5210.55 (Presidential Support Program) and DoD Instruction 5210.87 (Selection of DoD Military and Civilian Personnel and Contractor Employees for Assignment to Presidential Support Activities).
• A government requisite pre-screening checklist will be requested from all applicants being considered.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $48,000 MIN - $89,000 MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
