Job Requirements

LDV, Inc. is the world leader in the manufacture of custom specialty vehicles, located in Burlington, Wisconsin. We build state‑of‑the‑art, 45‑foot mobile command centers with satellite communications, SWAT and tactical vehicles, real life CSI trucks, Snap‑on tool trucks and more. This is a rare opportunity to join our team! We are seeking a part‑time, first shift Upholsterer/Builder with a variety of skills and experience to assist in building and installing components in custom vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing leather, vinyl, fabric and wood covered products.
• Stitching a variety of materials together using an industrial sewing machine.
• Cutting and shaping plywood, aluminum, and other substrates.
• Installation of flooring, walls, ceilings, cabinets, shelves, doors, windows, and trim.
• Cutting, drilling, and assembling brackets, supports, and other items required to mount custom components.
• Fit, install, and secure material on frames, using hand tools, power tools, glue, cement, or staples.
• Measure and cut new covering materials, using patterns and measuring and cutting instruments, following sketches and design specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience with upholstery, power tools, and measuring is desired, but we are willing to train the right people.
• Quality, accuracy, and the ability to work within a crew in a fast‑paced environment.
• Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and/or metal fabrication skills are a plus.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
