Job summary

Aebi Schmidt Group in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Upfit Mechanic II to prep chassis, install electrical systems and accessories, and support overall vehicle assembly. The role is a Regular Employee, hourly non-exempt, with a pay range of $20.00–$25.00 per hour.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and hands-on tool experience. Responsibilities include preparing chassis for truck body installation, wiring and accessory installation per specs, basic troubleshooting, and supporting team

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to read and use a tape measure.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• 5+ years experience in manufacturing, auto body, mechanical work, or service tech roles preferred.
• Basic wiring knowledge (cutting, stripping, connecting wires).

Responsibilities

• Prepare chassis for truck body installation
• Install bodies, bumpers, wiring, and accessories per specs
• Perform basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance
• Support team goals with flexibility and attention to detail
