Job Description

This role involves investigating moderately complex and occasionally complex, unrepresented claims, including uninsured or underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) claims in single or multi-car accidents, Injury Casualty Soft Tissue (ICST), and other moderate or major claims. Responsibilities include taking recorded statements, resolving loss of use claims, making payments, and negotiating or referring bodily injury issues that cannot be resolved.

A Day in the Life

As an Unrepresented Bodily Injury Adjuster, you'll investigate automobile accidents involving property damage and bodily injury, working remotely from your home. You'll assess coverage, liability, damages, and communicate with customers via calls, email, and text. Using innovative platforms, you'll negotiate fair injury settlements efficiently.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Customer Service Expert: Demonstrate empathy, clarity, and partnership in claims handling.
  • Investigator: Independently review damage and interpret policies to determine coverage.
  • Effective Communicator: Use calls, emails, and video chats to guide customers through claims.
  • Negotiator: Evaluate and negotiate settlements with various stakeholders.
  • Problem Solver: Utilize tools and critical thinking to resolve claims efficiently.
  • Recorder: Maintain accurate documentation and execute policies to protect company interests.

Work Location

This is a permanent remote role within the United States, excluding California, Alaska, Washington, and Hawaii. Requirements include a dedicated home office, minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/5 MB up, and appropriate workspace.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in bodily injury claims handling or related fields
  • 2+ years of claims adjusting experience
  • Colossus evaluation experience is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of insurance policies and liability

Licenses and Certifications

May require obtaining an adjuster or appraiser license within 60 days of hire, with support from the company.
