Job description

Unregistered Radiologic Technologist - Bellevue - Part Time

Operates radiology equipment under the direct supervision of a registered and licensed Radiology technologist in the state of WA. Actively and continuously enrolled in a certified Radiology Technology program. Under direct supervision of a licensed RT, produces radiographic images of specified areas of the body and performs related technical x-ray procedures in accordance with physicians' orders and standard techniques, procedures, or specific instructions.

  • Documents all quality control as required for regulatory agencies.
  • Considers the cognitive, physical, emotional, and chronological maturation process in delivery of services to patients in the age group served. Assesses data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, providing the necessary care in accordance with department policy. Exercises clinical judgment within scope of practice.
  • Creates CDs of images to be sent to outside physicians, faxes reports to outside physician offices as needed.
  • Greets, instructs, and communicates with all patients in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Prepares examination and treatment rooms for use by physicians and other medical providers by cleaning, stocking, and arranging supplies, equipment, and instruments.
  • Reviews orders and takes appropriate action.
  • Works under the direct supervision of a WA state-licensed RT. The supervisor (RT) must be present in the facility and immediately available to offer assistance or guidance while the student performs radiological procedures.
  • Performs other duties as required.
