Job Description

UC Health is hiring a PRN Unregistered MRI Technologist for the Radiology department at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

An MRI Technologist will support the University of Cincinnati Medical Center's Radiology Department by performing all aspects of magnetic resonance imaging according to established protocols. This includes reviewing the appropriateness and completeness of patient histories and requests for services.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate clearly with patients and staff, responding to varying needs.
  • Perform MRI procedures following protocols, including explaining procedures, reviewing safety, and ensuring quality.
  • Operate imaging equipment safely and review films for diagnostic quality.
  • Review and administer medications as directed, providing ongoing patient care.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media or medications orally and intravenously.
  • Assist in emergency procedures like CPR when needed.
  • Maintain records, participate in quality control, and evaluate departmental performance.
Qualifications
  • Completion of or enrollment in a JRCERT-approved Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or Sonography program, or an Associate of Science Degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience.
  • Must be registered with ARRT, NMTCB, or ARDMS.
