Job summary

Randstad Digital Americas is seeking a UAS/Drone Flight Support Operator for the Palm Harbor, FL area. This hands-on, field-based role manages launch, recovery, and ground infrastructure for autonomous delivery drones.

Various shifts available; core hours 8:30am-8:30pm CT with up to 40 hours/week. High School education required; FAA Part 107 certification mandatory; outdoor work in active environments.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license and current auto insurance.
• Must pass BGV and MVR.
• Must have Part 107 Certification/License.
• Eligible to drive a regular vehicle at an average of 40-50 miles per day.
• Safety-focused with prior relevant experience and adherence to FAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft inspections, including pre-flight and post-flight checks.
• Carry out standard aircraft procedures as defined in the UAS Maintenance Manual.
• Inspect nest equipment, perform daily start-of-day and end-of-day activities.
• Set up and take down delivery drones; conduct safety checks and ensure smooth flight ops.
• Participate in Crew Briefs and maintain comms with Pilot-in-Command.
• Log forms at each site and ensure compliance with FAA regs.
• Handle recovery operations and ensure proper site safety protocols.
• Assist with ground infrastructure setup for autonomous delivery drones.

Join our Palm Harbor flight team as a UAS / Drone Flight Support Operator. In this hands-on, field-based role. You will manage launch, recovery, and ground infrastructure for autonomous delivery drones.

Various shifts are available. Core hours are 8:30am-8:30pm CT, but hours will vary between 7:00am-10:00pm with a max of 40 hours a week. Hours are dependent upon business needs, personal preference, and may vary between a traditional 8 hours, 5 days a week or even 12, 12, 12, 4.

Key Requirements & Highlights

• Active FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft inspections (including pre-flight and post-flight inspections), daily start of day and end of day activities
• Perform routine aircraft standard practices (as defined in Client UAS Maintenance Manual)
• Perform nest equipment inspections (including pre-flight and post-flight inspections), daily start of day and end of day activities
• Responsible for setting up and taking down delivery drones, performing safety checks, and ensuring smooth flight operations in compliance with FAA regulations and company protocols.
• Participate in Crew Briefs
• Maintain communications with the client Pilot-in-Command
• Perform aircraft conditional checks and troubleshoot ground faults.
• Replace unserviceable aircraft as needed.
• Log proper forms at each site
• Pick up any trash that could come in contact with an AC
• Execute physical recovery operations
• Conduct prioritized nest visits across assigned sector.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Must have valid drivers license and current auto insurance
• Must pass BGV and MVR
• Must have Part 107 Certification/License
• Eligible to drive regular vehicle at average of 40-50 Miles per day
• Being safety focused driven with pervious jobs. Performing safety checks, and ensuring smooth flight operations in compliance with FAA regulations and company protocols

Physical Requirements

• Lift from ground level and carry up to 35 lbs and carry multiple items at the same time
• Crouch down and pick up or place objects from/to the ground weighing up to twenty (20) pounds
• Push or pull a wheeled cart on level ground weighing up to two hundred (200) pounds
• Be on feet constantly walking (10k+ steps per day)
• Work outside in various weather conditions (light rain, wind, temperatures ranging from 23F to 110F)
• Maintain mental and visual alertness
