Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and explain treatment plans to ensure comfort.
- Maintain infection control by disinfecting and sterilizing all equipment and instruments.
- Assist dentists and hygienists during procedures with suction, instrument passing, and chair-side support.
- Answer patient questions about dental hygiene, schedule follow-up appointments, and provide postoperative instructions.
- Evaluate and document vital signs and update medical records.
- Perform pediatric prophylaxis (Pedo Prophies).
- Assist doctors chairside and float as needed.
- Assemble and sterilize instruments, prepare treatment areas, and ensure accessibility for procedures.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices.
- Contribute to team efforts by assisting where needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Preference given to candidates with dental assistance training or schooling.
- Experience working with children is a plus.
Compensation:
$23 - $30 hourly
