Jacksonville State University is seeking a University Student Aid for the on-campus Child Development Center. The role supports staff with classroom prep, instructional tasks, and program operations while helping develop preschool lesson materials and activities.
You will work with individual children or small groups to nurture early literacy, numeracy, and self-help skills, while adhering to department and university policies. Positions depend on applicant qualifications and departmental needs.
Child Development Center
$8.25 per hour (Max 26 hours per week)
The duties of the University Student Aid are to obtain work experience on campus in the JSU Child Development Center. Duties may include assisting staff and faculty with preparation for classroom instruction, departmental operational needs, or performing administrative and other support duties as required. The Student Aid will assist with creating and developing lesson material, games, and manipulatives for the preschool class. In addition, the Student Aid will work with individual and small groups of children to develop their emerging pre-reading and pre-math skills, self-help skills and social skills.
Positions may be filled based on individual applicants’ skills, qualifications, and departmental needs.
