Job summary

University of Nottingham School of Humanities is seeking a dedicated Security Services Officer at University Park. The role involves patrolling campus grounds, responding to incidents, and operating CCTV from the security control room.

A full UK Category B driving licence (code 78) and the ability to drive manual vehicles are essential. The position is permanent and full-time (36.25 hours/week), with 12-hour shifts across a 24-hour period.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in a similar customer-facing role.
• Ability to record and analyse information and produce accurate written reports.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling University grounds and properties using University vehicles and on foot.
• Responding to incidents and alarms and implementing crime prevention measures in consultation with Security management.
• Working in the Security control room operating CCTV equipment and preparing detailed reports.
• Carry out duties in accordance with traffic control regulations to manage car parking and traffic flow.
