Job summary

Fayetteville State University is seeking a Business Counselor for the Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) to assist veterans and their spouses with starting or growing their businesses by counseling, training, and referrals. You will teach B2B/Reboot training, maintain client files in Neoserra, and participate in outreach to promote the VBOC.

Primary Purpose of the Organization:

The College of Business and Economics at Fayetteville State University is seeking applicants for a Business Counselor in the Veterans Business Outreach Center ( VBOC ). The VBOC provides assistance, counseling, training, mentoring, and referral services to transitioning service members, veterans, service-disabled veterans, and reservists, as well as military spouses who desire to start or expand a business.

Primary Purpose of the Position:

Assist veterans and their spouses with starting or growing their businesses by counseling, training, and referral services. Teach B2B/Reboot training; Provide confidential business counseling to clients in different areas of small business; Maintain well-documented client files and enter all client activities in Neoserra; Instruct other training courses as needed; Participate in outreach events to promote FSU VBOC ; Develop and sustain relationships with key resource partners and organizations to make appropriate referrals to those resources if needed.
This position is funded by non-state funds and has been designated time limited. Continuation of this position is contingent upon the continuing availability of those funds.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and one year of related work experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
