Loyola University New Orleans is hiring for a strategic Internal Audit leader to assess the university’s activities, support ERM, and drive risk-based audits. You will design efficient controls, lead continuous auditing, and collaborate with IT on data analytics to monitor key risk indicators.

The role requires not-for-profit GAAP knowledge, professional certifications, and experience in higher education or not-for-profit audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Working knowledge of GAAP for not-for-profit entities (ASC 958).
• CIA, CPA, CFE or CISA certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare information for Audit Committee meetings quarterly.
• Conduct process/workflow reviews to identify bottlenecks and non-value-added steps.
• Benchmark operations against peers and industry practice.
• Facilitate process-mapping and continuous-improvement workshops.
• Develop and revise audit procedures addressing risks and compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors and management responses.
