High School Diploma or GED
Must be currently certified as a Peace Officer by the Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy (OPOTA) for the State of Ohio.
Must possess a current valid state issued operator’s license with acceptable driving record.
Must pass recruitment testing (physical fitness assessment, background investigation, written test, polygraph examination, psychological assessment, toxicology screening, and medical examination).
Must have at least three (3) years of service and documented work history with another Ohio Peace Officers Training Academy (OPOTA) certified law enforcement agency.
An email will be sent to all qualifying applicants, stating the date and time of the Physical Agility Assessment. Physical Agility Preparatory Sessions will be offered to demonstrate proper techniques and review the assessment process.
Human Resources will email the Physical Agility Assessment criteria, the medical release form and information regarding The University of Cincinnati, Department of Public Safety, and Police Division to the email account provided on this application.
