A private Liberal Arts College is seeking an experienced, creative Executive Chef with a passion for International Cuisine to oversee their kitchen operations. If you have a proven background in higher education, we want to talk with you!

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall success of the food program and overseeing all culinary functions.
• Oversee all phases of planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation.
• Adhere to the client’s culture and guidelines, the Health Department’s regulations, and the company’s standards and expectations of food quality, freshness, and presentation.
• Motivate, train, develop, and direct the back-of-house associates preparing and cooking foods to accomplish the objectives of the operation to the satisfaction of the customers, clients, and management.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of culinary management experience in a higher education setting; 2+ years of Executive Chef experience required.
• Ability to manage cost controls.
• High-volume production and catering experience required.
• Diverse experience with a variety of cuisine.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
• Creative menu planning, pricing, and experience sourcing local ingredients.
• Solid tenure in previous employment—preferably no more than 2 jobs in 5 years.
