Job summary

University of Rhode Island is seeking a full-time Housekeeper (40 hrs, calendar year) to perform cleaning, custodial and simple maintenance tasks across campus facilities in Kingston, RI. The role requires adherence to custodial standards and ability to work with guidance from supervisors.

Hours are Thursday through Monday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with a benefits package including tuition waiver for URI-related programs and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cleaning and custodial work and related materials.
• Ability to understand and follow simple directions.

Responsibilities

• Clean floors, surfaces, walls, windows, and fixtures in university buildings.
• Empty trash, recyclables, and dispose of waste.
• Set up rooms for meetings and events; report safety issues.
