Job summary

The University of Chicago's Mental Health Services within the Student Wellness Center seeks a clinical psychologist to conduct triage and initial appointments, provide direct mental health services to eligible students, and offer consultation and outreach to the campus community.

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in psychology from an APA-approved program.
• Experience in university counseling settings is preferred.
• Evidence-based, time-limited psychotherapy experience sought.

Responsibilities

• Triage, clinical diagnostic evaluation, and crisis assessment.
• Provide time-limited individual, couples, and group psychotherapy.
• Emergency and crisis intervention with daytime on-call coverage.
• Maintain timely electronic documentation.
• Offer consultation, training, and outreach to campus community.
• Provide clinical supervision of trainees as needed.
• Review and adhere to applicable laws, ethics, and university policies.
• Deliver comprehensive mental healthcare including assessment, diagnosis, and referral.
