Job summary

Dig Inn is hiring in Philadelphia to join our scratch-based kitchens where real food and education matter. Earn $16-$18/hour plus $2-$3/hour in tips and enjoy benefits as you learn culinary skills and advance with our team.

You will work across kitchen stations, support peak periods, and help deliver delicious, scratch-made meals to guests while upholding safety standards and our anti-discrimination policies.

Qualifications

  • Passion for real, good food and desire to learn culinary practices and skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong work ethic.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements (lift up to 25 lbs, up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Prep, mix, and cook vegetables, proteins, grains using recipes and taste validation.
  • Gain exposure to multiple kitchen stations (garde manger, grill, roast, market line, guest concierge, delivery/packout).
  • Explain menu offerings, seasonality, and ingredients to guests to create a scratch-made meal.
  • Support team during peak and off-peak service as needed.
  • Move and multitask in the kitchen, with or without accommodations.
  • Maintain food safety standards and DIG policies.

$16 - $18 / hour depending on experience + $2-3/hour in tips + MORE BENEFITS!

The next generation of chefs are evolving in DIG restaurants.

Our scratch based kitchens are built around people with a true passion for real good food. YOU WILL:

  • Prep, mix, and cook vegetables, proteins, grains etc using recipes as a guide and taste buds for validation.
  • Gain exposure to different stations within the DIG kitchen including but not limited to garde manger, grill, roast, market line, guest concierge and delivery/packout.
  • Speak to current menu offerings, seasonality, and ingredients with guests - making their day as you provide them with a delicious scratch-made meal (aka: marketbowl).
  • Work to support the team during peak and off peak service, by pitching in wherever and whenever necessary.
  • Multi-task and move in the kitchen for extended periods of time. These physical requirements may be accomplished with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Help to maintain the “A” lettergrade by following Department of Health and DIG food safety standards.
  • Demonstrate professional maturity and strictly uphold DIG’s anti-discrimination & anti-harassment policies.
