Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of university regulations, including policies, procedures and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated organizational skills in handling and prioritizing multiple assignments.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with Ellucian Banner Student and Finance System preferred.
• Collaborate with departments to verify budgets, approvals and accounts.

Responsibilities

• Classifies and codes a variety of transactions with knowledge of regulations.
• Reviews accounts, ledgers, invoices, purchase orders and receipts for accuracy.
• Prepares statements and reports requiring analysis.
• Balances and posts transactions; coordinates with auditors as needed.
• Assists department and administrators with accounting inquiries and questions.
