Eventide Jamestown Senior Living is currently seeking a part-time Universal Worker/CNA for a day shift (7 am–3 pm), including Saturdays and Sundays, with 32 hours per pay period in Jamestown, ND. $18–$20.16 per hour plus shift premiums/differentials is offered.

The role involves personal care, med administration under nurse direction, housekeeping, laundry, and life enrichment activities for residents. Must hold ND CNA and ND MA I licenses, CPR/BLS, and be in good standing with registries.

Qualifications

• Must have a current ND CNA License
• Must have a current ND MA I license or be able to obtain upon hire
• Must be trained and pass Eventide's Home Health Aide competency training and test
• Must currently be in good standing on all nursing assistant registries in which you have been placed in the U.S.
• Current CPR/BLS license required

Responsibilities

• Assists tenants with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assists tenants with ambulation and/or therapeutic exercises.
• Observes and assists with medications as directed by the nurse.
• Reads and records vital signs and weight.
• Provides meals and supports daily nutrition and hydration.
• Cleans apartments and common areas, and assists with laundry and linen services.

Eventide Jamestown Senior Living is currently seeking a part-time Universal Worker/CNA. This is a day shift position (7 am-3 pm), Saturday & Sunday, 32 hours a pay period.

$2 an hour evening/overnight shift differentials and part-time 7 percent premium pay available!

The Universal Worker (C.N.A.) provides high-quality and safe personal care assistance to senior living tenants that is consistent with the current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations as well as the philosophy, policies, and procedures of Eventide. Will also perform housekeeping, laundry, and planning and life enrichment activities as needed.

Ideal Candidate

• Must have a current ND CNA License
• Must have a current ND MA I license or be able to obtain upon hire
• Must be trained and pass Eventide's Home Health Aide (HHA) competency training and test administered by Eventide
• Must currently be in good standing on all nursing assistant registries in which you have been placed in the U.S.
• Current CPR/BLS (or its approved equivalency) license required
• Assists tenants with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assists tenants with ambulation and/or therapeutic exercises.
• Observes and/or assists with medications that may have been ordinarily self-administered. May give oral and trans-dermal medications, patches, eye drops, topical ointments, and suppositories under the direction of the nurse.
• Reads and records temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and weight.
• Provides adequate nutrition and fluid intake through meal preparation.
• Performs blood sugar testing and documents results.
• Provides tenants with emotional and cognitive support.
• Socializes with tenants. Listens, converses, and participates in appropriate activities - reading mail, writing letters, etc.
• Gives guidance, redirection, and re-orientation to tenants as needed.
• Develop a rapport with tenants and families to develop an understanding of their needs and interests.
• Documents in tenant records as instructed and in a timely manner.
• Participates in the development, implementation, and review of the tenant’s plan of care.
• Recognizes and reports significant changes in the tenant’s health, behavior, and/or general appearance to the nurse.
• Complies with infection control policies and procedures.
• Recognizes emergencies and carries out emergency procedures according to policy.
• Promptly reports any occurrences of physical or mental abuse or potential for vulnerable adult reports to the supervisor.
• Review communication notes at the start of each shift to stay informed of changes that may have occurred.
• Cleans apartments, service areas, and common areas.
• Sorts, washes, dries, and folds personal clothing and linens.
• Re-stocks supplies as needed.
• Assists with serving meals in the dining room.

Compensation

At Eventide, we value our employees and offer a competitive pay range of $18-$20.16 for Universal Worker/CNA per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
