This is a fantastic opportunity to join our teaching team and explore the world with young children. Cub Care Children's Center has been providing excellent early childhood education programs since 1998 and is a Quality Stars NY participating center with a four-star rating. We are looking for a special individual who enjoys helping young children get off to a great start by building early learning and social skills in a culturally responsive environment that will last their lifetime.
As a UPK/4's Lead Teacher you must possess the ability to ...
-work under the direction of the Executive Director,Assistant Director and the designated Representative of the Vestal Central School District.
-enhance, blend and implement selected curriculum through detailed lesson plans that are culturally and linguistically responsive, meeting the developmental needs of individual children.
-coordinate activities with coworkers, oversee and/or work cooperatively with all teaching team members and therapists in your classroom.
-communicate consistently, effectively, sensitively, and respectfully with families regarding all aspects of their child's classroom experiences.
-participate in regular teaching team meetings by bringing questions, concerns and ideas to the group and engage in thoughtful discussions.
-complete a minimum of 15 hours of training/coaching annually in the required content areas as specified by the Office of Children and Family Services.
Min Requirement: New York State Initial Teaching Certificate for Birth to age 6.
(Can be considered if you have completed 2 years of early childhood education and are in the process of completing your Bachelor degree toward obtaining certification or transferring certification from another state)
Previous Experience working with children ages 2-5 preferred
CPR/First Aid Certification preferred but not required
