Job summary

First Learning is seeking an UPK Teacher to supervise a classroom and promote safe, nurturing learning aligned with NAEYC and district guidelines.

The role involves overseeing staff, engaging children in developmentally appropriate activities, and maintaining documentation for OCFS and the district. A NYS Teaching Certification (Birth-2) or equivalent is required, with potential to pursue additional NY state certification within three years.

• Supervise and train classroom staff when needed
• Communicate with parents through reports and updates
• Supervise group activities and manage behavior constructively
• Maintain classroom records and training documentation
• Prepare for a positive classroom climate and timely reporting
