Qualifications

• NYS Certification or a BA with early childhood coursework.
• Commitment to obtain NY State Early Childhood Teacher certification within 3 years.
• Experience in a school-based setting with young children is valued.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classroom operations and ensure safety and well-being of children.
• Plan an age-appropriate, open-ended program aligned with NAEYC and district guidelines.
• Maintain organized classroom records and communicate with parents regularly.
• Lead and supervise Assistant Teachers, delegating tasks as needed.
• Adhere to OCFS regulations and center policies; support staff in daily duties.
