Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve customers as a bank teller in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Develop and manage consumer and business account relationships to meet customer needs for financial products.
• Identify customers with additional profit potential and develop action plans to expand these relationships; refer business to partners.
• Address questions and concerns; refer to internal resources for resolution. Maintain integrity, adaptability, and positive performance.
• Participate in ongoing training.
• Assist daily branch operations including reporting, ATMs, coin machines, and the main cash vault; prepare cash for shipments.
• Develop working knowledge of bank systems to perform teller transactions and platform duties.
• Process routine and complex transactions: account openings/closings, deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers.
• Travel to other branches within region; schedule flexibility including evenings and weekends.
• Maintain knowledge of banking policies and procedures and apply in real situations.
• Stay aware of fraud alerts and identify fraudulent activity to prevent losses.
• Stay informed about new banking products and services.
• Participate in weekly branch meetings.
• Complete daily ATM proof and end-of-day closing procedures.
• Coordinate tasks with branch staff and other departments to ensure smooth information flow.
• Comply with bank policies and promote a harassment-free workplace.
• Support adherence to internal policies for risk management and regulatory compliance.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least one year of retail cash handling experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Bank teller greets and serves customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Identify, develop, expand, and manage consumer and business account relationships, concentrating efforts on meeting customer needs for financial products.
• Identify customers with additional profit potential and develop action plans to expand these relationships. Refer business to all partners.
• Addresses customer questions and concerns; refers to appropriate internal resources for resolution. Act with integrity, demonstrate adaptability, work commitment, and maintain a positive performance in all situations.
• Actively participate in ongoing training.
• Assist with the daily operations of the branch including reporting, ATMs, coin machines and the main cash vault. Assist with preparing cash for shipments.
• As bank teller has the ability to develop a complete working knowledge of all bank systems required to perform teller transactions and platform duties including the use of a PC and calculator, as required to efficiently perform the job.
• As bank teller process a variety of routine and complex transactions including but not limited to account opening and closing, processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and transfers.
• Position requires flexibility and willingness to travel to other locations/branches within your region and to adapt to schedule changes during the workday to include evenings and Saturdays or Sundays.
• Demonstrate knowledge of banking policies and procedures and the ability to apply this knowledge in real situations.
• Maintains awareness of current fraud alerts; identifies fraudulent activity to prevent potential losses.
• Maintains current knowledge of new banking products and services.
• Participates in weekly branch meetings.
• Completes daily ATM proof, end of day closing procedures.
• Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the branch office as well as with other Bank departments to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information
• Abides by the current laws and bank organizational policies and procedures. Promote an environment that is free of harassment and other forms of illegal discriminatory behavior in the workplace.
• Cooperates with, participates in, and supports adherence to all internal bank policies, procedures, and practices. This requirement is in support of risk management and the overall safety, and soundness of the Bank's compliance with all regulatory requirements.
