PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

Assist members with account transactions (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, etc.) and the opening and servicing of deposit accounts and consumer loan products. Support opening and servicing of Mortgages, IRAs, and Business deposit or lending products, referring to management or specialists as needed. Promote and support Central One and CUSO services to members.

SCHEDULE:

Typically 20 hours per week with some flexibility: Mondays and Wednesdays 8:45AM-5:15PM and Saturdays 8:15AM - 12:15PM. Up to 8 additional hours may be available based on staffing needs.

Pay rate of $19.25/hour with at least 1 year of prior retail experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop competency in dialogue-banking, needs analysis, and consultative selling.
  • Understand services offered by CUSO partners and make referrals.
  • Assess and understand individual member needs.
  • Provide detailed information and counsel on deposit accounts, lending products, and related services.
  • Strive to exceed member expectations and earn a “World Class Service” rating.
  • Secure new memberships and enhance relationships through cross-selling.
  • Assist in recommending and explaining suitable products and services.
  • Conduct consumer loan interviews, input data, and determine collateral needs.
  • Review credit reports and underwriting factors for loan decisions.
  • Qualify and close conforming consumer loans within guidelines.
  • Develop IRA and Mortgage knowledge, acting as a Mortgage Loan Originator as needed.
  • Provide necessary disclosures and documentation.
  • Balance cash drawer, vault, and ATMs, and settle daily activities.
  • Act in a supervisory capacity when required.
  • Perform BSA compliance duties.
  • Travel to branches or satellite offices as needed.
  • Stay current on equipment and procedures.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain community involvement and participate in projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Education: High school diploma

Experience: 1-3 years in customer service or loan department of a credit union or financial institution, or related experience.

Skills: Efficient, accurate, decision-making, analytical, cross-selling, professional interaction (face-to-face, phone, electronic), supervisory ability, proficiency in office software.
