Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for the management of the day-to-day operations of the branch teller area and the direct supervision of the Universal Banker I roles. Will serve a vital role in helping the branch obtain goals, by coaching and developing new and veteran tellers.

Job Duties:

  • Lead by example.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the branch teller line and supervise Universal Banker I roles, including scheduling, meeting referral goals, and overseeing operational standards.
  • Prepare for audits based on Retail Standard Operating Procedures (RSOP) and ensure team compliance.
  • Work with the manager to ensure successful audit outcomes.
  • Conduct quarterly and annual reviews of direct reports.
  • Coach, develop, and provide performance feedback to team members.
  • Monitor performance and report to management.
  • Assist Branch Manager with hiring staff.
  • Deliver superior customer service with a friendly demeanor.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer business.
  • Initiate conversations to uncover customer needs and meet established referral goals.
  • Define and offer solutions to resolve problems.
  • Maintain balancing and error records in line with policy.
  • Process deposits and verify transactions.
  • Follow operational standards regarding security and compliance.
  • Complete required training for all bank and branch policies.
  • Meet or exceed sales referrals as set by management.
  • Perform special projects as assigned.

Education, Experience and Job Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Trustworthy and confidential behavior is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Positive and professional attitude.
  • Ability to coach co-workers.
  • Client focused and a proven team player.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel for internal education and meetings.

Basic Qualifications:
