Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Branch Leadership Supervisor to directly supervise Universal Banker I and II at an assigned branch cluster. You will establish performance expectations, coach, conduct reviews, and manage development plans across multiple branches.

You will also lead onboarding, staffing, and scheduling, while addressing performance concerns and supporting succession planning. Travel between branches and maintaining service standards are essential to success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in retail banking or credit union environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or coaching experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop employees, manage performance, and coach sales and service behaviors.
  • Working knowledge of deposit products, account opening procedures, consumer lending, referrals, and regulatory requirements.

Job description

  • Directly supervise Universal Banker I and Universal Banker II employees within an assigned branch cluster
  • Establish performance expectations and conduct coaching, one-on-one meetings, observations, performance reviews, development planning, and recognition activities
  • Address performance concerns through coaching, counseling, and corrective action
  • Identify and develop high-potential employees and support succession planning
  • Support onboarding, training, and integration of newly hired employees
  • Coordinate employee schedules, staffing coverage, attendance, time-off requests, and schedule adjustments across assigned branches
  • Monitor staffing levels and communicate resource needs and workforce challenges
  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and candidate selection
  • Coordinate employee deployment between branch locations and travel regularly among assigned branches
  • Promote consistent Credit Union service standards and coach member engagement, relationship-building, consultative conversations, and service recovery
  • Assist with escalated member concerns and monitor member feedback
  • Maintain individual production goals, open accounts, support lending conversations, generate referrals, and build member relationships
  • Coach employees on member interactions, referrals, follow-up, and relationship development
  • Use reports and performance data to identify coaching and employee-development needs
  • Support branch procedures, policies, regulatory requirements, security, fraud prevention, cash handling, and member-information protection
  • Monitor operational exceptions, training completion, audit findings, and branch readiness
  • Identify and elevate operational risks to the Area Service Manager
  • Maintain visible leadership presence and branch visitation schedules
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day employee leadership resource and support branch operations during high demand or disruptions
  • Perform Universal Banker responsibilities as needed
  • Report directly to the Area Service Manager and partner with branch employees and support departments
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in a retail banking or credit union environment
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory, team leadership, or employee coaching experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop employees, manage performance, and coach sales and service behaviors
  • Working knowledge of deposit products, account opening procedures, consumer lending, referrals, branch operations, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to influence and motivate employees across multiple branch locations
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and branch operating systems
  • Ability to travel regularly between assigned branch locations
  • Ability to perform essential job duties satisfactorily, including sitting, standing, and lifting/pushing up to 10 lbs
  • Lending responsibilities require compliance with SAFE Act requirements and current NMLS registration; changes must be reported within 30 days
