First Mutual Holding Company in Cincinnati seeks an Universal Banker to serve as frontline customer service and sales representative. There are 3 levels under the Universal Banker job family with progressive responsibilities.

The Universal Banker 2 will direct other Universal Bankers, approve transactions, and manage duties such as check verification and wire transfers, while also facilitating team meetings.

Qualificações

• 1-3 years of banking experience required, including cash handling and customer service.
• 1-2 years of supervisory/team leadership experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of banking laws and regulations required.
• Notary Public is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) required; Cleartouch, Nautilus, and related software portals preferred.
• Driver's license required for float positions.

Responsabilidades

• Provide excellent customer service by processing transactions and handling account maintenance.
• Answer customer inquiries in person and via phone; support Customer Relationship Center.
• Monitor activities, approve transactions, and guide assigned staff; operate teller window as needed.
• Maintain vault, cash ordering, distribution, and reconciliation.
• Open and close accounts; cross-sell products and refer to investments, mortgages, and business banking.
• Handle check verification and wire transfers; maintain wire transfer certification.
• Meet individual, team, and branch performance metrics; lead and participate in team meetings; stay updated on systems and procedures.
• Perform branch opening/closing duties and prepare/monitor reports.
• May float to other branches as required.
• Comply with bank policies and regulations including Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act and AML statutes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Description

Position Summary:

The Universal Banker is the core role within the retail branches. There are 3 levels within the Universal Banker job family with progressive responsibilities. All Universal Bankers provides exceptional front line customer service and sales within the branch.

The Universal Banker 2, as directed, provides day-to-day direction to other Universal Bankers, approves transactions and assigns work. Performs primary and advanced duties including check verification, wire transfers, and facilitation of team meetings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provides excellent customer service by processing customer transactions and handling account maintenance; answers customer inquiries both in person and on the telephone including Customer Relationship Center Support; follows-up with customers as necessary.
2. Monitors activities and acts as a resource for assigned staff; approves transactions; ensures procedures are being followed; monitors over/short reports. As needed, operates teller window following Branch Operation Guidelines, policies and procedures.
3. Maintains vault by ordering cash, distributing cash to assigned staff, and reconciling the vault; ensures adequate cash is available for customer transactions.
4. Opens and closes accounts and services with accuracy and in accordance to bank policies and applicable regulations. Cross-sells bank's products and services and makes referrals for investment, mortgage and business banking products.
5. Handles check verification and wire transfers as needed. Keeps up to date with related system and maintains wire transfer certification.
6. Understands and strives to meet individual, team and branch performance metrics and sales goals. Facilitates teamwork and shared responsibility for success. Participates in and may lead team meetings, completes all assigned training and leads staff training as necessary. Learns/keeps up to date with all assigned systems, software and procedures including Digital Banking system, online service procedures, wire transfer certification and Webcapture system.
7. Able to perform all branch opening and closing duties. Prepares, updates and monitors assigned reports in a timely manner and with accuracy.
8. May float to other bank branches as needed.
9. Keeps up to date and complies with all bank policies/procedures as well as applicable banking laws and regulations, including, but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and related anti-money laundering statutes, and federal consumer protection legislation and regulations.
10. Other Duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

1. 1-3 Years of banking experience is required. Experience must include cash handling and customer service.
2. 1-2 years of experience as a supervisor, mentor or team leader is preferred.
3. Strong understanding of banking laws and regulations is required.
4. Notary Public is preferred.
5. High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
6. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Cleartouch, Nautilus, various government and investor software/web portals is preferred. CRM is preferred.
7. Driver's license is required (for float positions)
