Job summary

Availa Bank seeks a Universal Banker III (Senior Banker) to deliver high-level customer service and financial counseling. You will assist with consumer accounts and transactions, open and service accounts, and work to deepen customer relationships with appropriate banking solutions.

This non-remote role emphasizes relationship-building, compliance with regulations, and teamwork across branches to provide accurate and timely financial services to clients in the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
• Typing proficiency with speed and accuracy; basic keyboarding skills required.
• Strong math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance policies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their financial needs and objectives.
• Provide expert advice on banking products, including complex and consumer accounts, business accounts, and loans.
• Identify opportunities to deepen relationships and promote bank products to meet financial goals.
• Identify business opportunities and drive customer acquisition through outreach and referrals.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Handle financial transactions (deposits, withdrawals, advances, loan payments, merchant transactions).
• Maintain a balanced cash drawer.
• Assist with branch operational tasks as needed.

UNIVERSAL BANKER III (SENIOR BANKER) POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for assisting with a customer’s financial transactions in an efficient and friendly manner, providing the highest level of customer service. In addition, this position will assist with financial counseling, including opening and servicing of consumer accounts.

UNIVERSAL BANKER III (SENIOR BANKER) ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their financial needs and objectives
2. Provide expert advice on a variety of banking products, including complex accounts, personal accounts, business accounts, and consumer loans
3. Identify opportunities to deepen customer relationships and proactively promote bank products and services to meet the customer’s financial goals
4. Identify business opportunities and drive customer acquisition through outbound business prospecting, networking, and referrals
5. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
6. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform business strategies
7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies
8. Handle financial transactions efficiently and effectively with all customers (including, but not limited to, deposits, withdrawals, advances, loan payments and merchant transactions)
9. Maintain a balanced cash drawer
10. Assist with all branch operational tasks and duties as needed

Requirements

UNIVERSAL BANKER III (SENIOR BANKER) ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience

• Accounting or banking experience encouraged

Other Skills and Abilities

• Demonstrated proficiency in typing with speed and accuracy; basic keyboarding skills are required.
• Strong math skills; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
• Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply commonly understood knowledge to carry out instructions and instruct others, understand procedures, and write reports and correspondence
