This position is part-time, approximately 20 hours per week, including Saturdays.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:

Business Development

• Identify sales opportunities, deepen existing relationships, and increase Salem Five’s market share.
• Collaborate with branch management and internal partners to identify customer needs and cross-sell products such as loans, merchant services, insurance, and investments.
• Engage in sales activities including needs assessment, solution offering, closing, onboarding, follow-up, outbound calls, and record-keeping.
• Participate in team meetings, contribute to sales goals, and support divisional campaigns.

Customer Experience

• Provide exceptional service by making personal connections, understanding customer needs, recommending suitable products, and following up for satisfaction.

Business Acumen and Technical Knowledge

• Understand banking fundamentals, including income, expenses, and product portfolios.
• Quickly learn product functionalities and benefits.
• Build relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Adapt to change and demonstrate proficiency with digital banking tools, mobile applications, MS Office, and internet research.

Banking Operations

• Learn and adhere to policies related to branch operations, including transactions, account opening, compliance, vault, and ATM management.
• Develop skills in both sales and teller functions as part of universal banking roles.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required. Retail experience is preferred but not mandatory. Demonstrated desire to develop banking skills and deliver excellent customer service is essential.

All Universal Bankers must be federally registered through the National Mortgage Licensing System and maintain good standing. NMLS IDs are renewed annually.

Physical Demands

Must be able to talk, hear, stand, walk, sit, handle objects, reach, and occasionally lift up to 10 pounds. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for disabilities. Vision requirements include close vision.
