Position Summary:The UB I will complete paying and receiving functions to include deposits, withdrawals, and other financial transactions while providing excellent customer service to all customers and adhering to company policies and procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Cash checks and disburses funds after verifying customer identity, signatures, and sufficiency of funds to support withdrawals
  • Accept deposits, confirming accuracy of transaction
  • Process money orders, cashier checks, gift cards, and savings bond redemptions
  • Enter transactions in Bank’s core system, recording all transactions and producing customer receipts
  • Evaluate checks to verify endorsements, dates, identification of persons receiving payments, bank names, and overall legality of the documents
  • Encode and scan all paying and receiving transactions
  • Log and process night deposit envelopes (dual control)
  • Receive/receipt loan payments and safe deposit box rental payments
  • Assist customers with Safe Deposit Box entry (if applicable)
  • Respond to customer needs and priorities and establish meaningful customer relationships
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities to broaden customer banking relationships
  • Maintain current knowledge and constant compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
  • Maintain current knowledge and constant compliance with other banking regulations and Kirkpatrick Bank policies and procedures
