Job Overview: The Plant Controller is responsible for financial issues, including budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting in support of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting deliverables, development and implementation internal controls, and year-end audits. The Controller ensures that the corporate assets are protected by maintaining internal control environment guidelines. The Controller assists management in making profitable business decisions. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to develop a Business Partner relationship with Plant Management Team operating in a lean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Champion the creation of the plant’s weekly financial forecast projection (FLASH projection) and serve as the right-hand to the Operations Controlling Manager and Plant Management Team with the development of monthly forecasts and annual budgets.
  • Management of accurate and timely delivery of daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on plant KPI’s, including scrap, shrink/inventory adjustments, hourly labor, and overhead spending.
  • Management of all plant’s injection molding business reporting requirements, including weekly IMM financial reviews, monthly forecasts, annual budget, and supporting financial reporting on ongoing basis.
  • Manage data consolidation and reporting ensuring reliability, consistency and transparency.
  • Contribute to the analysis of the financial variances and propose appropriate corrective actions.
  • Contribute to Business plans elaboration and financial justifications for new business acquisition.
  • Participate in the development and execution of profitability and cash improvement actions, including the financial assessment associated with these actions and facilitation of execution with Plant Management Team.
  • Support with the development and execution of the plant’s capital budget, including the development of business cases supporting the justification of these investments.
  • Lead month end close activities including the completion of month end journal entries, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and month end reporting as needed, including the assessment of financial risks and opportunities to month end results and forecasts because of accounting impacts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments with demonstrated ability to manage month end closing, create accurate forecasts, and consistent ability to fulfill budget commitments.
  • Demonstrated ability to use financial knowledge to make sound business decisions in a Lean Environment.
  • Full competency of MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
