Job Title: Universal Banker - Entry Level

Reports To: Location Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary: Responsible for processing various types of transactions and opening personal and business accounts; seeks referral opportunities by effectively profiling. Promotes the bank’s products and services. Owns the client experience from start to finish; performs location procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance with policies and regulations.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Owns client experience by being courteous, welcoming, and providing prompt attention.
  2. Educates clients on using technology self-service options like the FLB Mobile App and ITMs.
  3. Refers clients to other bank services to meet their financial goals.
  4. Answers phone inquiries and resolves issues efficiently.
  5. Ensures accurate and compliant financial transactions.
  6. Opens and closes accounts, processes ATM/Debit card orders.
  7. Handles transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cash advances.
  8. Manages cash, ensuring limits are followed, and reports discrepancies.
  9. Handles Safe Deposit transactions and requests, if applicable.
  10. Adheres to all policies, procedures, and regulations.
  11. Completes training on regulations, policies, and procedures timely.

Success depends on quick and accurate learning of products, services, and procedures, working across teams to deliver solutions.

Education & Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required; minimum 6 months customer service experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of branch operations, account opening, transactions, compliance, and internal policies. Good customer service and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively. Multilingual skills, including Spanish, are a plus.

Work Environment/Physical Demands: Office setting, frequent sitting, occasional standing, walking, reaching. May operate various office equipment. Physical demands include lifting up to 15 pounds.
