Minimum Hourly Rate:
$19.00

Summary: As the front-line client ambassador, the Universal Banker provides a remarkable experience for clients, understanding transaction needs, educating them on products, and helping deepen relationships. Responsibilities include assisting with account openings, management, transactions, and maintaining accurate records.

The role involves completing client transactions efficiently, participating in sales processes, and promoting bank products and services to enhance clients' financial lives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality service in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Build rapport, identify client needs, recommend solutions, and seek business opportunities.
  • Promote and explain bank products and digital channels.
  • Perform teller transactions, verify cash, and ensure balances.
  • Comply with BSA/AML/OFAC regulations and report suspicious activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle client issues promptly.
  • Assist with cash handling, deposits, and ATM operations.
  • Follow up on sales opportunities and participate in community involvement.
  • Engage in personal development and training activities.
  • Refer clients to specialists when appropriate.
  • Participate in promotional activities and maintain professional appearance.
  • Adhere to the company's mission, values, and policies.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
  • Mentor fellow associates and be available for flexible hours and locations.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency with PC software and bank systems.
  • Attention to detail, data entry skills, and currency verification ability.
  • Teamwork, problem-solving, and consultative sales skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new technology and systems.
  • Experience interacting with various banking services and onboarding clients.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Banking experience is a plus but not required.
  • Customer service and cash handling experience preferred.

Traveling Universal Banker Expectations

This role requires daily travel within our community footprint, including locations in Michiana—Elkhart, Goshen, Mishawaka, and South Bend.
