Position Summary:

- The Universal Bank Advisor I is responsible for providing a high level of customer service to our clients and employees.
- Performs routine branch duties including but not limited to mentoring, training, and developing other Tellers; processing transactions efficiently, professionally, and accurately; identifying customer needs; promoting bank products and services; maintaining and accurately balancing teller cash drawer; open and close all depository accounts; assisting with night depository, vault, and other duties.
- Helps to lead the branch team to attain branch goals.
- Adheres to all bank established policies, procedures, and overall banking regulations.
- Promotes, represents, and welcomes current and potential customers, employees, and vendors to the bank in a professional and inviting manner.
- Develop a strong, value-added relationship with current and prospective customers by engaging in conversations that uncover their current and future financial needs. Provide solutions to ensure the customer feels understood, informed and confident in the bank’s products/services offered.
- Leads and encourages a positive working environment with a can-do attitude which fosters our Mission, Vision, Shared and Guiding Principles.
- Proficiently performs routine, basic, and complex transactions including but not limited to: Accept and process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, check cashing, loan payments and advances. Ensure proper Customer Identification (CIP) and Bank Secrecy (BSA) procedures are appropriately followed. Maintain proper cash levels and always keeps cash secure. Accurately balances drawer, and or vault (including buying/selling currency to Federal Reserve) and ATM. Reports variations in accordance with bank policy. Process daily branch capture, verifying accuracy of scanned documents to minimize non-posts. Open and Close accounts; completes required reports timely and accurately.
- Stays up to date on banks depository products accounts and online services.
- Actively develops, promotes, and leads awareness campaigns to help strengthen customer relationships.
- Maintain comprehensive and up to date knowledge of banking regulations related to assigned job function. Complete and/or ensure all audit and security policies and procedures are followed in accordance with bank policies and Federal Regulation. Complete required compliance and job specific training. Familiarity and adherence of all Bank Secrecy Act requirements including the ability to identify and properly report fraudulent and suspicious loan activity.
- Complete and/or ensure all audit and security policies and procedures are followed in accordance with Bank policy and Federal Regulation.
- Actively participate in branch meetings, individual and group coaching/training sessions.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all applicable bank policies and procedures. Work independently and exercise good judgement while keeping the bank’s financial interest in mind.
- Actively participate in bank functions and community activities as a representative of the bank.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous Teller or Customer Service experience is a plus.
Language Ability: Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.
Mathematical Ability: Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Compute rate, ratio and percent, and draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access), banking databases, and relevant software programs.
Certificates and Licenses:
- NMLS registered or ability to obtain NMLS registration

Specific vision and hearing abilities required by this job include extended viewing of a computer screen consistent with a normal office environment.
