The Medical University of South Carolina Wellness Center is seeking student employees to supervise fitness areas, ensuring member safety and a welcoming experience. This temporary role is a part-time student position with 20 hours per week, paid hourly.

Responsibilities include overseeing weight room areas, delivering friendly customer service, assisting with equipment cleaning and checkout, and supporting opening/closing duties. CPR/AED certification is required within 60 days of hire.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

• 30% Oversight of the weight room and cardio area to ensure the safety of members.
• 25% Deliver exceptional customer service to members by addressing their inquiries and resolving any issues that may come up.
• 20% Assist with cleaning the exercise equipment at the MUSC Wellness Center.
• 15% Assist members in checking out equipment to fulfill their exercise and recreation requirements.
• 5% Assist in opening and closing the facility as per shift requirements.
• 5% Perform any additional tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Must be a current student at the Medical University of South Carolina.
• Must have or be able to obtain CPR/AED certification within 60 days of being hired.
