UNIV - Grants Administrator II - College of Health Professions, Research Admin

Position reports to the Director of Research Administration for the College of Health Professions. The role involves planning, coordinating, and performing complex administrative and business management activities related to grants and contracts. Responsibilities include formulating and administering grant/contract policies, managing pre- and post-award activities, and supporting the College's efforts to secure external funding from various sources. The position may oversee large, multidisciplinary grants, including those with international collaborations or multiple subawards. This is a fully remote position.

Pay Range: $56,210 - $80,105 - $104,000 annually

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Key Responsibilities:
  • Post-Award Activities: Manage grant financials, personnel, procurement, compliance, and reporting; serve as liaison with investigators and sponsors; oversee budgets, amendments, invoicing, and financial tracking.
  • Pre-Award Activities: Support proposal development, budget preparation, regulatory compliance, and submission processes.
  • Financial Management: Track effort, create allocations, monitor expenditures, and assist with HR functions related to research staff.
  • Analytics & Forecasting: Provide budgetary and financial projections for the College, assist in reporting and forecasting.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Prepare reports for NIH and other agencies, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain grant records.
  • Knowledge & Liaison: Maintain knowledge of policies, serve as liaison between investigators and administrative offices, and provide training.
  • Database & Projects: Maintain grant database, coordinate special projects, and support compliance efforts.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or social sciences, plus four years of grant/contracts administration experience.

Preferred: Experience with federal, state, foundation, and corporate grants; CRA certification or willingness to pursue it.

Skills & Abilities: Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, manage diverse functions, establish relationships, and interpret complex regulations. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and internet tools. Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations related to grants and contracts.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform typical office functions, including sitting, standing, lifting up to 15 lbs, and visual and auditory capabilities.

Additional: Computer literacy required.
