Job description

Drive Your Art is a groundbreaking virtual reality (VR) platform that merges immersive technology with creativity and design. We are seeking a Unity Developer Engineer for a 3-month contract to lead the transition of our Unity-based VR application from a local desktop environment to a scalable, cloud-hosted infrastructure.
This role is ideal for a Unity Developer professional who not only understands cloud and automation, but also has a strong grasp of servers, networking, and the unique performance demands of real-time VR environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deploy a secure, high-performance, and scalable infrastructure to support real-time VR delivery in the cloud.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines optimized for Unity-based VR applications, ensuring smooth, automated build and deployment workflows.
  • Automate environment setup and infrastructure management using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Monitor system health and application performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or Datadog.
  • Implement robust network configurations, ensuring low-latency, secure, and stable connectivity between components and users.
  • Manage and optimize server configurations, including virtual machines, storage, load balancers, and firewalls.
  • Implement best practices in cloud security, access control, encryption, and disaster recovery.
  • Collaborate with Unity developers to support performance-sensitive rendering pipelines and interactive content delivery.
  • Document architecture, processes, and standard operating procedures for cross-functional visibility and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a Unity Developer Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (e.g., EC2, Azure VMs, VPC, GKE).
  • Strong understanding of server management, cloud networking, and infrastructure scalability.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or Azure Unity Developer.
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Basic understanding of Unity (C#) and the VR development lifecycle, including build processes and performance tuning.
  • Experience supporting platforms that involve 3D rendering, real-time graphics, or spatial computing is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of network performance optimization, including DNS, load balancing, NAT, and security protocols.
If you're a Unity Developer professional passionate about infrastructure, automation, and driving technical transitions, we’d love to connect. Help us take Drive Your Art to the next level by laying the foundation for scalable, cloud-based delivery.
