Job summary

Pratt Industries is hiring a Unitizer Operator in Rock Hill, SC. You will operate the unitizer and supporting equipment, ensuring proper banding, wrapping, tagging, and stacking, while maintaining accurate data and quality standards.

Preferred candidates have experience in the corrugated industry, including 6 months in Press or Finishing and forklift operation. You will follow safety guidelines, assist with maintenance orders, and contribute to meeting production targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Preferred: corrugated industry experience.
• Preferred: 6 months experience in the Press or Finishing Department.
• Preferred: forklift operator experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate the unitizer and related equipment with proper setup techniques and ensure accurate placement of bands and stretch wrap.
• Ensure proper placement of unit tags, cover sheets, and correct stacking patterns.
• Scan barcodes on units passing through unitizer and verify quantities.
• Operate forklift safely when required and complete maintenance orders and reports.
• Adhere to production schedules and communicate scheduling issues to supervision.
