White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Patient Care Tech (CNA) / Unit Support Coordinator for our Med-Surg unit who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.


Responsibilities:
  1. Support departmental operations by providing effective and timely communications, maintaining a clean, safe and orderly work environment, maintaining data and related records, and by performing clerical and other support services as directed.
  2. Responsible for processing physician orders, communication, and other general duties.
  3. Perform various service duties and routine technical tasks such as vital signs and activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  4. Consideration of the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations is required.
  5. Participates in department and organizational education programs, meetings, committees, and professional initiatives.
  6. Commits to personal, professional development in order to adapt effectively to ongoing change.
  7. Follows the care plan as established and delegated by the Registered Nurse.
  8. Ensures a culture of safety and identifies and reports malfunctioning/expired equipment and supplies.
  9. Ensures work areas and equipment are cleaned and stored appropriately.
Qualifications:
  1. High School diploma or GED.
  2. Valid Maryland CNA license required.
  3. Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  4. One year of current experience in a hospital environment with strong computer skills.
  5. Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations.
  6. Ability to read, write and speak English in order to communicate effectively.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8hrs 6:45am -3:00pm

Pay Range: $17.91 - $24.90

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount or if the position is Per Diem (offering a fixed rate), salary discussions will occur during the screening process.
