Position Summary

Unit Support Associate. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining a safe environment in the assigned area and assisting activities necessary for effective functioning of the unit or department.

Job Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Transports patients, supplies, laboratory specimens, blood and other items as directed.
• Performs cleaning duties necessary to the orderly functioning; cleans all equipment related to the unit; responsible for garbage and trash disposal.
• Maintains patient safety; responds to patient, family, and visitor needs in a timely fashion.
• Maintains inventory of supplies; stocks and distributes supplies, instruments, and linens as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED. Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

1-2 years in a hospital setting. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.

Salary

Salary range: $24.60 - $24.60 hourly. Actual salary depends on experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. Salary does not include bonuses, incentives, or other compensation.
