Position: Unit Secretary

Department: ED

Shift: Full Time TBD, 36 hrs Per Week, 9a-10:30p / 9p-10:30a

Overview

As a Unit Secretary in a hospital setting, you will facilitate communication and handle administrative operations within the unit. This role requires strong organizational skills, diligence, and confidentiality. You will be key in maintaining effective communication and coordination among healthcare team members, ultimately enhancing patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Preferred Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus.
• Experience: Prior experience with computer systems for data entry or processing information; experience working with the public and providing customer service.
• Preferred Experience: Clerical experience in a healthcare setting.
• Preferred Knowledge: Medical terminology, procedures, and HIPAA regulations.
