Department: Medical Surgical & Telemetry Unit

Shift: Full-Time, Days, 12-Hour Shift

Hospital: Prime St Francis Hospital

Location: Evanston, IL 60202

Responsibilities

The Unit Secretary reports directly to the Director/Manager and indirectly to the Charge Nurse and/or House Supervisor. The role involves performing indirect care activities within the department, facilitating communication, transcribing physician orders (in the absence of CPOE and EMR systems), preparing and maintaining records, ordering supplies, and assisting nursing staff with duties involving indirect patient care.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience required.
  • Basic dysrhythmia training upon hire.
  • Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire, maintained current.
  • Experience with computers for word processing and database management preferred.

The estimated total compensation range for this role is $16.40 to $23.76. The actual starting salary will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
