Job description

Hourly Pay Range:

$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Unit Secretary - Infant Special Care - Nights

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Unit Secretary
  • Location: Evanston, IL
  • Full Time/Part Time: Part Time 20 hours
  • Hours: Night shift 2300-0730, with weekend rotation
  • Required Travel: no; can float to other units

What you will do:

  • Coordinate non-clinical duties of the nursing unit
  • Enter patient charges in computer
  • Coordinate patient flow of admissions and discharges
  • Order supplies
  • Customer service to patients, families, nurses, physicians and other support departments
  • Answer phones and relay messages as appropriate
  • Proactively identifies need for service recovery and follow up of resolution

What you will need:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience required or 1 year of college and 1 year of work experience required
  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Proficiency with computer skills required
