• High school graduate or equivalent preferred; Certification as Unit Secretary preferred.
• Experience: None required; Medical environment experience preferred.
• Experience with office equipment desirable.

Responsibilities

• The Unit Secretary is responsible for nursing unit communication.
• Functions include serving as a receptionist, maintaining patient records, and transcribing and communicating physician orders.
• Maintains order at the nursing station and performs other related duties as assigned.
