The Unit Secretary- ED position at HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge in Lone Tree, CO oversees department activities and supports executives. You will manage inventories, room and AV equipment usage, and coordinate special projects while interacting with physicians, hospital directors, and staff.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Unit Secretary position organizes and manages the department's activities.

• You will oversee office supply inventory, room utilization, and audio/visual equipment utilization.
• You will provide clerical support for the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and Director of Risk Management & Safety.
• You will coordinate special projects as assigned.
• You will interact with physicians, hospital directors, other hospital executives, as well as employees, patients, and families.
• You will Assists in the completion of department assignments.

Position Requirements

• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Graduate of Unit Secretary or medical terminology course preferred
• Unit Secretary experience preferred.
• Experience with computers and medical terminology is required.
• Previous customer service and secretarial experience preferred
• Advanced computer skills are preferred.
• Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Knowledge of PC based computer skills, i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and/or similar systems preferred.
• General knowledge of legal procedures/practices.
• Spelling, grammar, verbal communication, and written composition skills.
